Hi, I’m Heather Joy — and I’ve had a love for bright, colorful sparkle running through my veins for as long as I can remember. ✨

It started as a dance mom designing, sewing, and blinging out custom costumes — something I did for over 10 years.

That quickly turned into a full-blown rhinestone obsession… and eventually a business I’ve been building since 2007.

I’m the creator behind MyBlingThingz, where I hand-place crystals on phone cases, shoes, and anything else that deserves a little extra sparkle.

Every piece I create today is built on those years of hand-crafted detail and my obsession with getting it just right.

But I didn’t stop there.

I started MyBlingThingz DIY because I know I’m not the only one who wants to create beautiful, sparkly things — so now I also sell rhinestones, supplies, and help other crafters bring their ideas to life.

Then in 2021, I posted a glitter ornament video on TikTok… and everything changed! 🥹

I went from a few thousand followers to hundreds of thousands in just a couple of weeks — and realized just how many people out there love sparkle as much as I do.

These days, I’m also a grandma, a night owl, and someone who’s been through a lot (including beating cancer)… which is exactly why I care so much about how I live — from choosing joy and color to being more mindful about what I bring into my home and my life.

Because honestly?

Life’s too short for boring colors.
